Lysosomal ion channel recordings at body temperature.
A new application note is now available co-authored with Nanion Technologies.
ORIA Bioscience’s ready-to-use 𝐋𝐘𝐒𝐎-𝐏𝐫𝐞𝐩𝐬™, combined with high-throughput automated patch clamp on the SyncroPatch 384, enable robust whole-lysosome recordings to investigate the regulation of the lysosomal ion channel TMEM175.
The study demonstrates that recordings performed at 35°C lead to higher basal and agonist-induced current densities compared to room temperature. This highlights how temperature can influence lysosomal electrophysiology and why studying intracellular ion channels under physiologically relevant conditions matters.
